Muffins with Moms
We had over 300 people attend our Muffins with Moms event this morning! I want to make sure and say a big thank you to our amazing PTO for all their work to make this a wonderful experience for our students and parents!
MAP Results
We have completed our first round of MAP testing. The testing process went really well and our kids did a great job. Results from the test will be shared with parents at Parent/Teacher Conferences. There will be a one page print out with your child’s results as well as a nationally normed average and a district average for your child’s grade level. Our teachers will receive training on February 5th on how to interpret and utilize the results from these tests. The MAP test will be given again at the end of the year.
Kindergarten Round-Up
This year’s Kindergarten Round-Up will take place on February 25th from 1:00-6:00 PM. We will enroll students who will be 5 years of age on or before August 31st, 2016. If you have friends and/or neighbors that may not have students in school yet, please pass along this information to them so we can get an accurate count of our incoming Hound Dogs!
Shed
We now have a new shed next to our outdoor classroom! This will help store classroom supplies, outdoor benches, and gardening tools for the outdoor classroom. Thanks to our PTO for arranging this great new addition to our playground. The PTO used funds from our Fun Run to purchase the shed, so thank you to the community for making that possible for us. There will more additions to our playground coming soon. This will include two new tether ball poles, outdoor picnic tables, a new swing set, and some additional smaller equipment. All of these new items were possible because of the money raised from the Fun Run!
