Arrival
I would like to pass along a few reminders about arrival in the morning. Supervision for our students does not begin until 8:00 each morning. We are noticing an increasing number of students being dropped off prior to 8:00. If you are in need of supervision before 8:00, we have information in the office about our Y-Care program. I also want to remind families about our drop-off lane procedures. When dropping off, please pull as far forward as possible so we can utilize as much curb space as possible. All students should be exiting out the right-hand side of the vehicle. We have cars coming through the middle lane so we do not want students exiting into traffic. We are going to open up the far left lane for cars to drop-off students if they need to exit out the left-hand side of the vehicle or if an adult needs to assist the child getting out of the vehicle. Students will need to wait at the crosswalk until an adult has indicated they may cross. This should help the traffic flow in the mornings while keeping our students safe by using the appropriate lanes. Thank you for your continued support of the safety of our students.
If you haven’t had the chance to complete the survey sent out last month in the blog, please take some time to do so. I am looking for community opinions on what we want our school to become. I have asked the exact same questions to all 368 of our students and will share a compiled list at the beginning of next school year. Here is the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/6CTFRY2
Thanks for your help!
