Kindest Kansas Citian

For the Kindest Kansas Citian Contest students were asked to choose one person in their lives, not a relative, who is at least 18 years old, and who lives in the Kansas City metro area to be nominated for the Kindest Kansas Citian Award.  This person could be a teacher, coach, neighbor, family friend, or other significant person in their life who has been kind to them, their family, or others.
After choosing one person, they were to write the nominee's name and start making a list of the “Top 5” reasons why he/she deserved this award.  From this list of reasons the students were to write an essay.  One essay from each class was chosen to be read at the Kindest Kansas Citian Assembly at Heritage.
Thank you to all of the nominees who were able to attend the assembly.
Congratulations to our nominees and student authors!
