Johnson County Christmas Bureau Drives at Heritage

The Johnson County Christmas Bureau provides holiday assistance to low-income residents of Johnson County, Kansas. At the annual nine day Holiday Shop, pre-qualified clients, by appointment, select groceries, personal care and household supplies, children's clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, coats, toys, gifts, and books pegged to family size, age, and gender. All items are new with the exception of books and coats. At the 2013 Holiday Shop, JCCB served 12,526 individuals representing 3,300 families and 697 nursing home residents.
3,000 community volunteers donate their time from mid-November to mid-December to make the Holiday Shop a success.
Founded in 1960, JCCB is a standalone non-denominational United Way safety net agency.
