Fifth-Graders to Experience Kindness and Compassion Program
Fifth-graders in the district will be able to benefit from the lessons of Rachel’s Challenge by attending a program at a middle school in September. Heritage 5th Graders will be going to Indian Trail on Wednesday, September 18th. These programs are age -appropriate, will highlight the importance of kindness and compassion and will make no mention of the tragedy of Columbine. Students will learn about doing simple acts of kindness and compassion and how to create a KC (Kindness and Compassion) club to make their school a better place. Spreading the positive message of kindness and compassion, in an age-appropriate way, to the district’s fifth-graders is an exciting complement to other Rachel’s Challenge programs throughout the district.
